Military Pen Pals - supporting our troops

There has never been a better time to consider a military pen pal. We know about the difficult task our service men and women face in both Iraq and Afghanistan - they are separated from family and friends in hostile lands for long periods of time.

What we have done is search the Internet for web sites that help military service members get connected with civilians to be pen pals. Visit these sites and find out how you can become a military pen pal and show your support for our troops. Most sites invite both military service members and potential civilian pen pals to get involved.

• My Soldier - Featured on CNN, this site was started by a soldier who had just completed 14 months of service in Iraq, saw a need and did something about it. You can adopt a soldier, wear My Soldier gear, and/or write to soldiers.

• Pen Pals for Soldiers - Pen Pals for Soldiers is a volunteer organization dedicated to the support and morale of our brave men and women in uniform. Soldiers will receive cards, letters, and care packages from individual volunteers who have signed up to be Pen Pals.


• Military Pen Pals (MPP) - We are here to support the troops and connecting people from the United States with military personnel who are stationed overseas or are back in the country.
